For every soy leftist turned off by the Rock’s nomination 5 median voters will replace you. He wouldn’t need your vote :hubie:
The Rock doesn't actually shoot all those guns in Fast and Furious, he's not really The Scorpion King, and he doesnt actually know MMA. Good luck! :salute:

Yes but his brand is positive masculinity, you know the Achilles heel of the democrats currently?

People are putting real money down on betting that he can win the nomination. It’s not as far fetched as you think.

And if it’s Rock Vs Vance. It’s interesting that you’d secede power to the continuation of fascism

I aspire to have your level of Ideological purity one day :salute:

I don’t think leftists should run third party, I think they should win primaries within the Democratic Party. I don’t think they should be handed power without showing they can win
It’s a conundrum because going off their own logic now is the best time in decades to develop a third party. Dems favorability is at an all time low with ineffective leaders who refuse to give up power and kneecap any potential competition.

So of course instead of taking advantage of this and building an alternative the American public is obviously desperate for, the algo has our Allstars and their better paid counterparts on Twitter spending 18 hours a day complaining about Hakeem Jefferies instead of amplifying voices the public needs to hear and building an infrastructure for a viable third party.

This is of course only talking about the sincere people and not the bad faith actors.

I think the idea of a Rock presidency appeals to people who would already vote democrat. The people who are attracted to the "toxic masculinity" (I'm using your language here) find the toxic part just as appealing as the "masculine" part. Owning the libs is a greater motivator of votes than the idea that anyone in the republican party legitimately cares about improving the lives of young men in this country.

Deploying this in defense of someone that: 1. Spoke at the republican convention and 2. Is basically "republicans buy sneakers too" as a person is pretty funny.

Dwayne debating Buttigieg and Pritzker would be a spectacle for sure though.

going all in with fateh after that clusterfukk is a mistake

the absolute last thing the dems need is an internal voter fraud dialogue to spill upwards to the national level. it is legit not worth it

especially with the somali community stuff in a volatile spot in minnesota. he has been linked to *several* fraud allegations - the Feeding Our Future case is still falling out and his ties to it will continue to come up, this most recent event, his brother in law's conviction, and stuff back in 2020 as well.

the party is not in a state where it has the luxury to prop up fateh.

edit: links included if you want - but i was *hoping* to leave DC/VA and move to minnesota around 2027 or so. its working its way off my list though

Pushing the rock is insane, but it tracks for BlueMAGA. That’s why we call them that—they’re just as clueless and celebrity obsessed as their red stepbrothers

Trump has shown that a political party can gain generational power through having an avatar of a movement.

It’s hilarious that you claim to want populism but then be condescending towards the idea of a popular individual taking the mantle of a movement.

Stop with the hypocrisy

Trump is a generational candidate, like Obama. The tendency to follow whatever Republicans do is exactly why Democrats keep failing. It’s a deeply inauthentic party.
