They did, in fact Joe biden willingly invited republicans into the BBB discussion which destroyed the entire bill and led to Joe manchin walking back his claims that they needed to go bigger. But, as far as I've seen, he's too self deprecating and self aware to call himself a specialist in any area. However, I'd put him up there with Mehdi Hassan and John Iadarola as far as general political knowledge.

But Ezra is probably more knowledgeable than him in specific areas such as Healthcare, AI, housing, etc.
