The broad plan was blocked by Republican lawsuits and the SCOTUS. Even then, he managed to cancel billions in student loan debt. It was the same thing with the Black farmers restitution bill. Acknowledging that there are two parties in this country, and one is incredible hostile and litigious does not mean you are carrying water for the Democratic establishment, it just means you're willing to tell the truth.
He could have simply wiped the balances with executive authority and taken them off the federal balance sheet, then forced the Supreme Court to deal with the question of putting those accounts back on. We’ve heard multiple interviews from people inside the Department of Education at the time who openly said they didn’t believe Biden ever intended to cancel student loans in the first place. That’s why he created a convoluted approval process that wasn’t necessary and gave Republicans all the time they needed to organize their lawsuits.
Give the usual suspects 24-48 hours to let us know why this actually is the Dems fault.
This is a vibes-based argument, not one that understands how institutional power operates.
We’re literally watching Donald Trump run almost entirely on vibes and personality, and he’s making a mockery of institutional power in the process. The usual guardrails and norms that are supposed to keep politics grounded in policy or accountability just aren’t restraining him.
Trump's abuses aren't comparable to unilaterally wiping out hundreds of billions in federally backed student loans. If you think they are, point to a specific statutory action Trump took that comes close, because canceling that much debt without legal authority isn't something any president can just "power" through.
Main one is Charles would be scared to lose his seat in Georgia. For a certain few him being Jewish would be a point they would harp on.
I don't agree with him politically on much but he's a strong candidate. Downside is protecting that seat.
