why are black people, over half a century since the supposed abolition of jim crow, so vulnerable to the white supremacist predations of republicans?

why, when democrats are in office, aren’t black americans empowered to a degree that they are able to economically and materially steel themselves against a trump?

if the democrats aren’t capable of delivering tangible benefits to black people, what are we voting for? if our condition is not qualitatively improved under democratic administrations, what value is derived from voting blue?

It took me a while to see it. I’m on some small govt, protect my rights and border time. I hate paying taxes just for it to be f’ed off.

I can’t vote republican now though. We see their agenda and its out in the open.

I pray we can break this two party system somehow and go to multiparty. Black and brown needs to unite and finally pass policies we need and want, instead of us being used by the elite democrats to strike deals that nobody wants.

It started recently in 2008, Republicans were so mad Obama got into office, they spent the last 15 years being the party of no and blocking every and any laws or bills that could enrich Black folk, even at the cost of their own interests.

When Dems got control, it was to clean up the mess Repubs left behind and the cycle would repeat until what we see now.
