I have always been a democrat but you need that balance.. or else we give more and more entitlements without a shut off valve. The way San Francisco has handled their homeless problem has been a fukken joke.

You even had one council member that proposed giving homeless cats little portable atm machines (paid for by taxes) so that they could use it to panhandle to people that only have credit and debit cards.. I am NOT making this up. I can provide receipts

For every gas pedal there is a brake.

And did that come to be in SF?

The right isn't a brake, they have no solution to social ills other than god.

I don't vote but if I did vote I want the people who I voted to represent my values and core beliefs, not compromise.

Marcus Johnson is one of those twitter clowns who only understand identity politics. He's stupid about everything else.

Breh just look the meme coming out of these people.

Bernie Sanders and the progressive wing of the Democratic party are planning to leave black voters behind and minority issues behind. You see when Bernie says working class, he really means white working class.

Like what in the fukk? I've literally read dozens of so called intellectuals say that. Unbelievable. The most progressive Senator in the history of the Senate is being painted as a nativist racist.

My counter question is, when were black issues at the forefront with Hillary and Obama? Why do all these Marcus Johnson types have no problem supporting Hillary when she does not have any more black related issues than Bernie? I read him saying that because Bernie didn't have the Black vote, he was subconsciously ignoring Black issues where as Hillary was not :dead:

In the first several days after Trump was elected, both Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren put out statements saying that they would be willing to work with the President-elect on economic issues. Sanders has even gone as far as to say that he’ll work with Trump to raise the minimum wage to $10 an hour, even when he viciously criticized Clinton for her $12 an hour plan. It is appalling to see those on the far left who put Clinton’s feet to the fire for months willing to buckle and work with a white nationalist so quickly.

LMAO, so because you were #withher and we were against the 12 dollar an hour plan (we wanted FIFTEEN), we're not allowed to go and get 10 dollars an hour from Trump? It's peoples fukking LIVES not some stupid game you Clintonite idiots. This is why she lost :dead:.

Because Clinton lost, Sanders and Warren should abandon their positions and stop fighting for workers and obstruct even the things they agree with. If they don't, they are legitimizing white supremacy. Well if that's the way Clinton felt about Trump, why didn't she call him a white supremacist? Why didn't she call him a racist? Why didn't she say that even the things he was saying were racist? She was the one legitimizing white supremacy by not calling it what it was. Bernie Sanders repeatedly said that the things coming out of Trumps mouth were racist. The Mexican stuff was racist and the birther stuff was racist. She never once called him racist and now all of a sudden he's a racist that needs to be delegitimized according to her stans. #Imwithher doesn't get to call Trump racist.

These people are a cancer. That is all they know and they must be ignored.

Democrats and the left should not be fooled into thinking a reverse-"Southern Strategy" plan will work. The numbers are not there yet, and won't be for some time.

I've always maintained that labor and class issues resonates with all demographics. Bernie has been on this tip for a long time, as others. But there is a significant minority of people on the left that do not care. For them it has to start and end with identity politics.

It's this line of attack they used against Bernie to justify black people supporting HRC and because white liberals on facebook and twitter hurt their feelings by asking why are people giving HRC an 80 to 20 margin. They carved out an entire niche by being the "diverse" HRC supporters explaining why black people supported her. Self-appointed race experts. They literally have nothing to say when it does not involve race issues. I feel like I'm trapped between these idiots and people saying PC culture and blaming the focus on "diversity" as the reason why Trump won. Progressive economics and anti-racism are not mutually exclusive.

The fukked up thing is I don't even know what identity politics are :dead:

Like what does that entail? What policy positions does that entail that the Democratic elite have, that Bernie or Warren don't have. What identity politics??? These people just think that because Black voters chose Hillary over Bernie IN A CLOSED PRIMARY, that somehow Bernie isn't appealing to Black people. They disregard the fact that he had almost no name recognition :dead:

Well, to be fair to them, historically speaking, focusing on labor and class issues has always left people of color in the dark. There's never been a sustainable anti-racist labor coalition in America. Whenever presented with economics vs. racism, white people have chosen racism. The reason we don't have universal healthcare in the US is literally because the segregationist South that that would mean black and white people sharing hospitals.

What Bernie Sanders has not articulated yet, and what the most noble of these people (because many of them are disingenuous) are trying to force him to articulate, is that "this time will be different." He hasn't found that language yet.

Identity politics is a derogatory term used against those who focus on issues like race, gender, etc. It was a conservative attack against liberals pointing out the specific issues these communities faced. However, what has happened recently, is this weaponized version of intersectionality where if you're not sufficiently "woke" enough or if you don't fit into the correct racial or gender category you "just don't get it" and therefore, your opinion is invalid. Under this system you're sexist or racist not because you actually did something sexist or racist or because you promoted these things, but instead because you did not provide them with the attention they deserve in the way the accuser desires.

Thats a flawed analogy.

Obama was mentioning minorities at every second of the fukking way.

Now that Dems are going even further into white supremacy, that doesn't make it acceptable.
