Identity politics is a derogatory term used against those who focus on issues like race, gender, etc. It was a conservative attack against liberals pointing out the specific issues these communities faced. However, what has happened recently, is this weaponized version of intersectionality where if you're not sufficiently "woke" enough or if you don't fit into the correct racial or gender category you "just don't get it" and therefore, your opinion is invalid. Under this system you're sexist or racist not because you actually did something sexist or racist or because you promoted these things, but instead because you did not provide them with the attention they deserve in the way the accuser desires.
Whats the problem here?

Dems are literally warning you they're abandoning their most loyal demographics and you're OK with this.

The sad thing is, if you notice the amount of dime chicks with natural hair who be on this shyt too :snoop:

The amount of times I've been told I "Just don't get it" has me like :snoop:
...because you DONT get it

White intellectuals are telling you they don't care about your black ass...and you're just going "mmmhmm...at the sake of everyone..."

They already did that when they threw blue collar whites in the north east and Midwest under the bus for Muslims and illegals.

Well, to be fair to them, historically speaking, focusing on labor and class issues has always left people of color in the dark. There's never been a sustainable anti-racist labor coalition in America. Whenever presented with economics vs. racism, white people have chosen racism. The reason we don't have universal healthcare in the US is literally because the segregationist South that that would mean black and white people sharing hospitals.

What Bernie Sanders has not articulated yet, and what the most noble of these people (because many of them are disingenuous) are trying to force him to articulate, is that "this time will be different." He hasn't found that language yet.

These are valid points.

The only thing I would like to say is that identity politics in itself is a creation of whites that they first applied to themselves. As you said in your earlier post, for some white people, their life begins and ends at their identity as a white person. They would betray common sense and policies to maintain this identity. It is at the core of the Southern Strategy and dog whistle politics.

I am against it.

Republicans biggest mistake over the past 8 years was being aggressively opposed to any and everything Obama did in governmoent. Once they scaled back, and reduced their sniping to media only they saw gains in support.
