Florida voted for Obama twice. It swtiches back and forth between being Red and Purple.

The main issue with Florida in all honesty is that, due to it's lack of a viable job market and good paying jobs, many young liberal people or Yuppies have been flocking to other places like Texas, ATL, North Carolina, California, NYC, DMV, etc. which gives Florida's GOP more of an edge because the older residents/retirees and country people will continue to vote GOP since they don't really have as much to lose.

But DeSantis's draconian laws on abortion and alimony might push more women away from him. There's already Republican women who feel "buyer's remorse" over that type of legislation.

So, who knows what the future holds for Florida? Even younger Cubans vote differently from the older ones.
Republican women deserve to have their rights stripped from them. They voted for these dudes because they wanted to see other people get their rights stripped but once they got put on the chopping block now it’s an issue. fukk em :camby:

As a former FL resident yes that is part of the issue but the main issue as well is the gerrymandering. Yeah FL voted for Obama 2x but looks at the state and local numbers.

Trump dikkriders will come in and spin it and say this isn't about Trump, because he is popular and will win the White House. They will claim it is about Desantis being unpopular in Florida. :pachaha:

To get to 270, Trump just needs to flip two states - Pennsylvania and Georgia. That's it. Just those two states, and he's the next US President :damn:

It’s over

The Trump dikkriders will claim that he is unpopular which is why the Democrat won, because it certainly can not be due to Trump and abortion and that stuff.
I’m not sure how or why people like Desantis because he got exposed outside of Florida as an unpopular loser candidate. Goes to show how awful the Democratic Party here in Florida is
