Some form of direct stimulus makes sense. Let congress figure out a number. All I know is that Biden should be running on passing a stimulus bill that guarantees 2-3 months of stimulus payments directly to Americans to help them recover. Whether it's $1000 a month or whatever...it's smart policy. The genie is out the bottle, the government has acknowledged it can do this.

Trump would be a fool not to support another payment...

They gotta pass something.

30 mil unemployed during an election year? Millions probably haven't even received their first UI payment and there's still folks who haven't received their 1st stimulus check.

I just have a VERY hard time believing that we’ll actually get $2k a month. It just feels too much like right. I could see another one time $1,500 or something but $2k per month? I’ll believe it when I see it

Same. I hope we're wrong in the end though and they do pass a 2k a month deal but I feel like I shouldn't get my hopes up just yet.

That's why we gotta get Biden in office and Dems in control of the Senate. This shyt is not happening with Republicans controlling any branch of the government.
:mjlol: FOH with this big cyse! No way in the hell would establishment Dems pass that $2K per month, $2K per child, relief from mortgages/rent, & etc. Proposal. Y'all forget what country y'all live in.

Whats really bad is the front line workers didn't get a damn thing. That certainly should have happened.
This is the only thing I think will happen.
Unfortunately a lot of people will still be left out but they will get something.

The person not asking for anything has the upper hand in negotiation. The Dems are trying to get them to say yes so they will compromise.

Republicans only passed the 600 cause it went with the corporate bailout. They will let the 600 run out then see where they are. They have no incentive to pass anything in June unless something drastic happens with the reopenings.

The first CARES act was essentially business focused even for the ones that really didn't need it.

I remember Sanders and a couple of Dems were pushing for $2000 and citizen first policies the first go around.

THIS.

The people that had to work while everybody else was sitting at the crib SAFE. The Frontliners should have been the first people to get more money. shyt... the Frontliners should have been the people getting a extra $600 a week.

Plus a lot of front line workers have lost hours due to this. They're going from 80 hours to 72 or lower, not receiving pay raises, etc. They're basically being extorted to work for less. Meanwhile all their bills are still due. This idea that states can magically tell renters not to evict people is stupid too. Sure you might not get evicted for missing your April or May rent...but you're still getting hit with late fees. And in a couple months when things are back to a semi-normal level, landlords will start trying to evict these people.

Ain't no way in hell we getting that but we're definitely getting another round of checks for sure they ain't got no choice they can open up everything if they like but doesn't mean people are gonna go or people who've lost their jobs are gonna get them back before the end of year.

I read on TheHill Larry Kudlow one of Trump's advisors said preliminary talks have started.

I forgot where I read this at I'm gonna dig it up later but $1,500 followed by a $1,000 check a month later.
