Not when the art is rhyming
There's a lot that has happened over the last 5 or so years. For example, Purrp was arrested when he tried to confront Rocky when he was touring with Schoolboy Q in Miami. I remember reading that a loose Raider Klan affiliate got jumped out in NYC by ASAP Mob, and i dont even think he rapped... And now we got Denzel dissing SGP, which has its own history -- Denzel worked very closely with Purrp for years, and only recently started to turn against him. I think he's trying to distance himself from Purrp to put himself in a more favorable position within the industry, maybe even Rocky himself.
I disagreeThe art is telling your story.
purrp was arrested cause he tried to run up on a asap mob show out in miami.
the guy that got beat up was purrps cousin or friend, asap 12vy put hands on him and the mob also made fun of purrps deceased friend Jitt.
curry left the klan back in 2013 to go solo plus he was getting bigger and the klan wasnt really doing much at this point compared to like 2011
you must also remember the video that was posted up for a few hours before being suddenly taken down where they were all chilling listening to DJ Zirk, making threats EXCEPT for Denzel, who kept talking about making music with ASAP. Anyways, that video and the brief appearance he had on MTV w/ Sway & Waka always stuck out to me because Denzel's demeanor always just screamed that he was just trying to come up as a rapper, and I truly respect that.
However, I do believe that a lot of his hype is manufactured, and he's being handled very closely, albeit I don't ever see him blowing up like a lot of people are predicting. Nor am I particularly fond of the fact that this dude is trying to gain relevance from this whole SGP vs. ASAP beef by turning on the dude that he was (and in many ways still is) heavily affiliated with. Turning on SGP, naming the track RIP Yams in memory of the former head of a clique that never really fukked with him, it all just reeks of trying to appease to higher ups in the industry. No doubt that distancing yourself from Purrp is a good idea, but I really don't fukk with how he's handling it.
I guess all this shyt is just friendly in a way, at least they're actually going back and fourth with the diss tracks.
