Pineapple on pizza is disgusting. But the meme that CA can’t make pizza needs to die. It simply isn’t true — maybe it’s different in la but I doubt it, but there are four or 5 good spots for by style pizza in sd.

Now if you subscribe to the idea about the water impacting the flavor to such an extent it’s not the same then nothing can be said.
