Denzel, and I think fairly easily. X? Wesley doesn't have anything on that level. He's not even the star of some of the bigger hits on his list. Waiting to Exhale and Mo' Better which Denzel is the actual star of.
The wider audience really only talks about three of wesley's movies from his entire career, Blade. Demolition man, and white men can't jump.People of all races around the world are more familiar with Snipes 90s movies. Snipes went through a tear during that time period.
Only Black people really talk about Denzels 90s movies. Not saying they were bad movies but Snipes was an action star.

Malcom X >>> than anything Wesley has done.
I like Wesley as well. Idk how he got the role for White Men can't jump...he can barely dribble a basketball, yet along shoot one
Glory
Malcolm X
Devil In A Blue Dress
ALONE washes Wesley’s entire 90s catalog and I’m a fan of both and watched pretty much all of their movies when they released back then.
Training Day was 2000s. I've never heard anyone non Black raving about those other movies. The wider audience really only talks about three of wesley's movies from his entire career, Blade. Demolition man, and white men can't jump.
But all three of those were in the 90s so i guess technically you could give him the edge. but if you include 89 and 01 Denzel's run was sustained longer throughout the entire period (and all the way up to today obviously.)
With denzel he had movies before during and after this period people still talk about. Glory, Malcom X, mo better blues, He got game, training day,
That was a better 90s run to me because it was consistent through the whole decade plus some. Wesley had two all time hits in 92 & 93 and then didn't really reach that high again until the end of the decade with blade.
if you read the whole post i mentioned that glory and training day were some near 90s outliers that i chose to include in the 90s.Training Day was 2000s. I've never heard anyone non Black raving about those other movies.
Wesley Passenger 57: "Always Bet on Black". It's a gambling term but I've heard it on TV shows and in real life and everyone always immediately mentions Snipe and that movie.
^^^Growing up in the 90s I was more a fan of Snipes and action movies in general but as an adult looking at the films that came out in that time period Denzel has the better filmography.
