All I know is Lexapro is keeping me sane atm.
Never ever take effexor. I don't even know how I'm going to get off this shyt. You miss more than 2 doses and your entire body starts to feel like it's being beaten with a bat and your brains constantly getting zapped with electricity. Worse feeling ever. I'm getting an appointment tomorrow for ketamine therapy 2 week treatment lasts for almost a year and it makes you feel like your walking on clouds.

You never heard "Trust the science" or "believe in science"?
Yes but that’s not saying it’s infallible whatsoever but rather it’s been tested and experimented mutiple times that it’s now trustable. The entire structure of science is gathering and challenging knowledge.

You are literally on a computer or phone that was created due to science constant trials.

Yes, it is. It's basically transferring the religious/metaophysical mindset of faith to science.

There are people who have an absolute faith in science.

It's what they used to call "scientism" in the 19th century. It's a certain approach of what science is.

You’re literally misinterpret the meaning of those phrases and thinking in absolutes. There are some people, the key word here is some, that have complete faith in science, but that’s not the whole consensus neither do they speak for the entire community.

I’m gonna stop myself here, because this is thecoli, I know better.

That's what I'm saying. I 'm talking about these people, since the homie said he never heard anyone claiming to have an absolute faith in science.

These people exist. That's it.

This is because America’s political system has people who actively discredit the scientific method when it’s inconvenient to their political masters, despite that method of observation/experimentation being the reason for our modern world (and posting on the Coli right now!).

Science is not a belief system. It’s something you test/peer-review/research/record.

Partially. It's true in the context of american mainstream politics. Someone said dumb stuff and someone say dumb stuff back.

However, the belief of science as an ersatz of religion, in some promethean perspective, existed before the stupidity of some American voters. You will find it in Europe in the 19th century.

Engineering isnt science though. The steam engine was created before they understood thermodynamics.

Not to mention you have this complaint. When the fact is politics is something that sweeps certain discoveries under the rug to keep the status quo. For example this study doesnt sound so good for big pharma. So they will just fund another study, that counters this one. That will discover whatever big pharma wants them to disover. People will assume scientist are morally incorruptable, and got to the "truth". Anyone who disagrees will be campaigned against or blackballed. And the brainwashing will continue.

The people that control the politics/funding control the science. Therefore science is very political#PoliticalScience
