Explain why ignorance is bliss.

I really don't know shiit and will admit it.

My life is simple as fukk and i'm happy as hell.

.

Most people just see things on the surface level. So you are likely to feel more included. And not ever feel weird about how you feel. The more you know about this setup, you realize its not condusive to being regular humans. And living how everything else in nature lives. Thinking about the fact you live in a zoo is enough to bring on depression itself.

They've known for decades that serotonin is not the happy chemical. They've also known that serotonin is associated with learned helplessness and that serial killers have elevated serotonin.

The pharmaceutical industry makes so much money off of it though, its not going to stop for a while.

easy solution: eggs, cheese, turkey, nuts, salmon, tofu, and pineapple :eat:

St. John's wort is named after John the Baptist. The plant usually begins to flower around the 24th of June, the feast day of St. John the Baptist. It contains many chemicals that act on messengers in the brain that regulate mood.

Check out St. John's Wort. This shyt is a miracle. It is excellent if you want to remove all of that crap that is in your body caused from those depression drugs. No lie. those doctors never talk about St. John's Wort for a reason

After reading the article it’s safe to say the title doesn’t actually depict what the study suggests. There are many different causes of depressions of many types of chemical imbalances that affect the brain. This is saying lower levels of “serotonin” may not be the underlying cause of depression.

Studies like this aren’t new but falsely implies that an understanding of the mechanism is necessary for effective treatment.

Anti depressants have been proven to help some and not all. Honestly with matters of the brain it will be damn near impossible to guarantee a cure all for such a complicated issue as depression. But at the end of the day antidepressants aren’t for every person suffering from it. Etc etc etc

Of course they don't know, but most of the time they don't want to admit. Modern "science" is supposed to be infaillible.
It’s actually the opposite; science is SUPPOSED to be proven wrong, thats why you have hypothesis, practice and theory. Thats also why it’s called a theory because it’s never 100%. No actual scientist will tell u that science is infallible, but it’s tested and if the results are replicated constantly it can be treated as a certainty but that 1% is always there.

That's not the point.

The idea hold by those who see science as infaillible is that science can explain everything. Every issue can find a solution through the scientific method. These people exist.

This belief or approach is called scientism. It's basically the heir of positivism.

The scientific method is the ability to experiment and replicate your results over and over again. That’s it. Ppl choosing to put their faith in those that have done the work isn’t the problem. Ppl choosing not to learn how science works is the problem. Big difference.

Isn't depression a normal part of life? Obviously, there are degrees to depression. It's not always sunny outside.

I don't believe we are meant to be in a perpetual state of happiness.

It's always been my opinion that these psychotropic medications (SSRI) results in some of these mass shootings. The side effects are literally homicidal and suicidal ideations, which is exacerbated you stop taking the drugs.

The issue here is not what the scientific method is. Nobody here is arguing about what science is. Positivists clearly know how science works. Auguste Comte knew how science work. Ernest Renan knew how science work. The issue here is about the scope of the scientific method: what can science do as a tool and where it should be applied as a method of understanding phenomenon.

Philosophy of science, as a field, is more complex than "science is that/the debate is over". There are many open questions beyond knowing that science is method based on experimentation.
