It's always funny to me how Knicks fans or management run good coaches out of town only to regret it a few years later :mjlol:
  • Riley
  • Jeff Van Gundy
  • Who else?
Wait.... I wonder if i could find at least one post with a Knick fan wishing he had Isiah back. Think i'll have any luck, @NY's #1 Draft Pick? :patrice:
But like i said handing the coaching reigns of a franchise and fanbase with so much pressure to succeed immediately to a rookie headcoach was doomed from the start. Knicks fans dont have the kind of patience that most other fanbases not named Lakers, have to work witha rookie HC. I mean you saw what happened when Phil picked Porzngis (sp). After they hailed the man for coming to NY giving him standing ovations before he even had a username to logon into the active directory of the organization, they turn around and had the nerve to, not only question, but boo and sh!t on the man for weeks after the man's very first personnel acquisition.
I respect Knicks fans because they are by far the most hardcore/dedicated and probably knowledgeable fans in the NBA. But i never liked ungrateful mofos :scust:
All that typing. :phillol:

wanna see how the whole coaching fraternity responds to this given the mini bytch fit they pitched the other day about blatt

they were mum on the hornacek sacking as well

Anyway coaches get recycled all the time in this league....if other coaches thought he was decent he will get an assistant job or something elsewhere

They won't say a word. A Euro wasn't replaced by an Afrikan. The excuse for the silence will be the losing record.

I get that, but I think most teams have that problem. Guys are on the bench for a reason and the Bulls have some talent there. Its definitely a balance, but it seems Thibs was more paranoid about blowing leads then other coaches. We all remember Rose blowing out his knee in garbage time.

It's his paranoia which had his teams with a top record in the league, every single season (second-highest win% amongst all coaches upon his departure and this was without his franchise player for around 60% of the games - do you realize how GREAT that is? The rest of the league's coaches had their franchise player and still didn't have a comparable record). Of course there needs to be a balance, but you need the right personnel to have a proper balance. Was he guilty of pushing his main players a bit too much? Sure. But it was out of necessity due to the lack of talent, and inability of role players to keep the system running.
Yeah, that sounds like an excuse, just let that one go breh.
Didn't I just say that he shouldn't have played him 48 mins? I'm just giving you reasons as to why he did. :francis:
I agree Hoiberg should get the same criticism. Although to be fair, I understand the temptation to play a younger guy like Butler those minutes, but Noah and Gasol last year?:whoa:
This is what happens when you don't have the proper pieces. I mean relying on a 35-year-old vet who looked "done' in LA (and is declining at a rapid rate) as your main frontcourt option is insane. What state would the Bulls be in if it weren't for Butler having arguably the greatest progression in the last decade and Pau not rekindling his game? I mean the crumbling foundations of the Bulls FO acquisitions are down to two of the most improbable happenings in basketball - a role player who wasn't shyt turning into a legit star overnight and an over-the-hill vet becoming the most productive big man in his conference (last season).

Always so protective of these coaches when fans of the team he coached aay otherwise. You need to start listening. Theres a reason these coaches are being criticised.
You don't know what you're talking about breh. :manny:

When are you going to admit that you were wrong about McHale being the main reason why y'all ain't shyt? I tried telling you, but you were adamant I was wrong.

And actually @who_better_than_me, most fans of teams actually agree with me when it comes to their coaches, it's the dudes who aren't fans of the teams which disagree with me because they spew regurgitated bullshyt, without actually watching games and digging beneath the surface.

When was i provened wrong? He was the issue. We still cleaning up his bullshyt. He created a culture in this franchise that next coach has to clean up. Your harden blinders wont let you see it.
