In Coach Carlisle's system, all the PG really has to do is initiate the offense, hit open shots, and play D. Deron would have been overpaid for his role. As long as Dirk is the focal point of the offense, everyone else is there to play D and hit open shots. You can't overpay for those guys and expect to compete. Hopefully BK gets their shyt together but
