Yup breh...JR, Tristan and IT off the bench to complete the rotation..health is everything to that team.
Weak defense is what did them in last year..and KD playin like a goat.
If you want to be real about it, Cleveland played some of the best basketball you're ever going to see in Games 3-5 of that Finals; it's just that the Warriors were playing at a clip that you, at least off the top of my head, could compare to the best any team has ever played. While Cleveland got routed in series terms, nobody can act like those two teams weren't pretty much even over the second half of that series. It's the fact that a good majority of that team was shook for those first two games that REALLY fukked them up. Golden State, with Durant, is too good to expect to come back after getting behind 2 games.

That game 3 meltdown was a crucial moment..Bron was passive and Ky was doin his usual dumb shyt. KD smelled blood and took that shyt over..I'd agree that they were right there as far keepin the game close.

I like that lineup except as I have always maintained, I like J.R. in the starting lineup instead of Wade. For reasons most may not think about.
J.R. needs to be in with the best lineup. The Cavs relied on J.R. a lot for the past couple of years and he is either on or he disappears. Finally, the Cavs dont have to live and die with him. He's having a bad game you bench him. But he is such and explosive shooter...Rose's job will be to push that ball up and let the shooters fill up the wings. That lineup with J.R. instead of Wade is a potentially lethal transition team with 3 shooters and Bron. Also, Wade is basically the Captain of the 2nd team. He can lead a unit while J.R. cant. Outside of athleticism and 3pointers, Wade is better at everything else and basically the Cavs 2nd unit Bron. if IT healthy then it could be Rose and IT or IT and Wade in the backcourt.

Rose isn't gone but he was legitimately one of the worst defensive point guards in the league last season.
His three point shot was fukking broken too. Teams literally sag off of him and DARE him to shoot yet he can't even make them respect him. He makes Giannis look like a respectable three point shooter.
His PnR game is pretty damn poor. He's not great at getting clean passes to rolling bigs. I can't count how many easy alleys to Kristaps or Hermangomez missed because Rose has tunnel vision when driving.
He's a great finisher around the rim but he's not great at using his body to draw fouls. He doesn't put pressure on bigs or force contact which is why he doesn't get calls. He tries to avoid big men and go for fancy layups which means the refs don't give him many whistles.
So you got a point guard that is among the worst three point shooters in the league, is way below average defensively, doesn't draw fouls at a high rate despite only being good at attacking the rim, is an average passer, and isn't great at running an offense. He's pretty much a worse version of Goran Dragic in every conceivable way.
All these things combined is why people aren't high on him. I think he's a pretty good acquisition because I think the Cavs got him solely for Golden State who I think Rose is perfect against. Between him, IT, and Wade...they're gonna make it difficult to hide Curry no matter what unit is on the floor.
