To me Snoop always does his thing and maintains his craft and skill level. He's not the GOAT but he's very consistent and has the most fun....to me that's a win.
this. he's far from the GOAT but he is one of the GOAT entertainers in rap and he still makes good music for the most part

Between Chronic and Doggystyle you could argue he had the greatest rookie season of all time. Dude had such an impact on the game and made so much classic music in that short period of time that he was pretty much able to coast off it the rest of his career.

Never really made that kind of impact ever again but since that time he's definitely dropped his fair share of classic tracks.

Dropped other dope albums also. Not Doggystyle level but he has other dope albums.

best way i can put it is like this..... he's the madonna of hip hop. in the same way that madonna has been able to reinvent herself in pop music, snoop has done the same time and time again in hip hop. those 2 are one in the same with their longevity :wow:

Privileged. After beginning his career at the very top, he was allowed to get by with essentially farting on records and calling it music. But he still dropped great, even classic, music here and there like the Snoop we all know and love.

nikka what? You act like snoop wasnt writing them records that dre did on the chronic. You acting like it wasnt snoop's posse whom dre linked up with and was motivated by to do the deathrow music. Would snoop had blew (that big) without dre,no. But it wasnt a privilege. Snoop was on his job

Honestly he kept the west coast alive. not because of his music after going to no limit, but basically just staying in the limelight and doing other shyt.

Doggystyle snoop was the type ready to bust your ass on the mic, but the hollywood lifestyle got to him and rap just became a hobby to him. he still can flow but he lacks the desire to do it on a serious tip
