I think we would need to look at who they have been hiring and the infrastructure they have to support the program.

If they have been losing that’s on the administration and infrastructure, so if that doesn’t change it proves this is just another move with a flashier option.
They have really good facilities

The landscape of college sports has changed

What does Delaware St have to lose??

They been losing
Credibility. That shyt still means something whether you have a ton of it or a sliver. You’re giving the keys to a guy with zero coaching experience and if you go off his podcast, some maturing to do. I would’ve called Teddy Bridgewater. Look at a guy like Chris Barnette at Bama State. Mans has grinded from being a grad assistant at a D3 school to OC at an HBCU (multiple ones at that). Has won MEAC chips and Celebration Bowls and can’t get a whiff of a head job. But the fmr player with podcast host on his post playing resume gets to jump the line. I would be pissed.

True if this doesn't work out, they can always go back to the traditional way :manny:

It's no different than Colorado going after Deion

Disagree there. Prime had time in at the high school and at JSU. I think D-Jax has been doing some HS coaching. Colorado also ones up the cash to set him up for success.

Remains to be seen how they are going to support him but if they don’t have that planned already then it’s going to be interesting…..

It's much different because Deion just came off a successful stint as head coach of Jackson State

But I hear you that it's not as if Delaware State can't recover from this if it doesn't work out.

BCU was fukked up

Ed Reed brought attention to it

No way a D1 program should be sharing moldy helmets
Bruh a fukking IG tirade aimed at administration is not how you handle issues within your program. I’ll have to find the articles but I’m pretty sure Reggie Theus said they were making updates to the facilities and equipment because a hurricane had just hit Daytona and the previous staff hadn’t fully cleared out the offices yet

Ed blasted them like they weren’t doing anything despite being told what the current issues were when he agreed to the job.

A grown ass man who can’t regulate his emotions ain’t someone I want running my program or representing my university
