Fox 2 is the National Enquirer of Detroit news. No one really watches that shyt. Seriously, they are the worst. I considered taking an internship there in college and one of my classmates had done one there already and in a nut shell he basically says "Hey man, do you actually like writing and sharing important information with the public?....yeah then don't take that internship".

But foreal, she left her crib unattended for months? No, way. I'm renting that boy out asap specifically to avoid this kind of shyt.

I've heard so much negative shyt about Detroit in the past few days man. Why would anyone want or chose to live there? Can any brehs explain the upside of being in Detroit?

Cheap land (which means easy access to wealth/capital), a growing food culture, contrary to popular belief half way nice people, right next to another country, one of the best airports in the country, great arts scene, easy to start a small business, the best Mediterranean food in the country, the women are naturally beautiful etc. Detroit is the definition of "you gotta know somebody before you go".

Detroit will always be an embarrassment.

Its not as bad as the media hype
I live in one of the so called worst areas...
But i have money so thats a choice on my part.

However, I have a residence in another area I rent out.
Plus midtown and downtown are nice (but overpriced and extremely gentrified.

Its mostly black city with a rich history. Part of that history is madddd violence. But not large gangs like most major cities- just regular people taking situations into their own ignorant hands.

Positives are, bars, stores, malls, museums, riverwalk, some large parks, international border, potential to get money, potential to still look and feel fly even if you dont have money, life lessons central, and.... A promising future (something most cities lack)

The politics are a combo of liberal and conservative. Best of both... Gay rights, environmental, pro black, CAC racist, big business, large unions, corp monopolies, legal weed and gun rights- all rolled in one.
