Detroit Lions and Matthew Stafford agree to part ways

The lions have been lucky to have Stafford carry some of them trash squads. Defense been garbage for years, they struggled to put an adequate line in front of him for years...the only thing they got right were some skill players but then they offset that by hiring Patricia. They made the playoffs during the Caldwell years but got beat by more talented teams.

No that's because the org isn't good. I'm not for the Lions org. I am not about to for Stafford either. shytty orgs usually bend over backwards just to have a QB that hasn't proven to be anything really special.

Mathew Stafford isn’t Pat Mahomes or anything and I’m glad he’s about to be traded but peoples views on him are skewed .

I mean the best running back he’s ever had was a washed Reggie Bush

Lions simplifying playbook to remedy offensive woes

Drew Brees didn't have trouble with the same offense. Stafford did. Breh isn't that bright between the ears y'all. That arm can throw the ball to the moon. What's between the ears is a large ball of cheese. The thing is, he was billed as a Patrick Mahomes like player, to be successful with him, he needs to be a game manager. Bubble screens, short crossing routes. Anything over 10 yards is no man's land for him.

There were reports that Patricia was disrespectful to Stafford, and other players. I doubt Stafford will be fine going there. Even thought Patricia is just a general assistant with the Pats this year.

My hope is that the 49ers takes him since they have the highest draft pick, but Washington and Indy make the most sense. Both teams are ready to win now and everything is built. Steelers are a good fit but they need a run game first.
