I know I’m in the minority but I feel like the NFL will still be enjoyable with this move. I’m sure new rivalries will form so fakkits won’t have to cry anymore over this shyt

NBA got a lot of issues but I’m tired of y’all shytting NBA when it comes to this division shyt like it ever mattered in its entire existence.

NBA rivalries develop from playoff matchups, not because they are in the same division; we’ve had this thread before

I think out of the four major U.S. sports leagues, the NBA is the one where divisions don’t matter to people as much, as there is more individual star power and that’s how the NBA markets it. It works for the NBA.

I think if you asked your average sports fan to name teams in certain divisions, you’d see people get NFL and MLB teams correct more than the NBA and possibly NHL as they changed divisions not too long ago.

I don’t think divisions matter as much in the NBA as they do in the NFL, especially for a fans perspective.

that's because only 2 things matter in the NBA

1. who won the title

2. God forbid they ever consider a 1 on 1 tournament.

3. who lucked out on lotto night

That's it. Everything else is a colossal waste of time if you seek meaning out of your season

And when two NBA teams in the same division are rivals, it's not because they are in the same division. That happens by chance.

Division rivalries never mattered even when the NBA was at its highest viewership for regular season games :russ: No need to rewrite history

the NBA lacks rivalries, to the detriment of the league. Any rivalry out is really player related and not team related (except for Nico vs. Dallas).

I wouldn't model myself after that. The NBA wants to be the Prem League so bad, yet even they have deep rooted rivalries.

If the nba had old division rules the hawks would have a top 4 seed and home court advantage in the first round right now :russ: As long as the nfl guarantees a playoff spot for division winners it shouldn’t affect rivalries at all

Just look at this fukking stupid ass shyt…. A bum ass 7 got damn win team getting a home playoff game against an 11 win team because some “Buhh buhh they won they division” babble :mjlol:

shyts an embarrassment to competitive sports.… the CTE-FL basically telling the bucs that their 11 regular season wins were close to meaningless
So why not get rid of divisions at this point then? If it’s an embarrassment

Is this supposed to be a threat :mjlol: Bruh I personally don't give a fukk if they were to eliminate them all together... Teams have already changed divisions in the past...the fukking Cardinals used to be in the NFC East...nobody cared when they left lmao... If you want you can toss them shyts in the bushes and keep protected “rivalries” in your schedule.… but at the very least if you're going to keep divisions you cannot reward mediocrity through seeding.… guaranteed playoff entry for the winner should be enough to keep the divisions relevant
