It's development.....................of a secondary income stream for you.

. I'm glad that you are able to employ local people to build the structure and to work there once it's up . I see it as a smart business move by you and hopefully you make your investment back and start seeing returns soon.

If you are Ghanaian, I think you know what I mean by development and why I don't think this lives up to the title of the thread.
Give him a break. He’s doing what he can with what he has right now. Maybe in the future he’ll evolve or expand to other ventures also. Brehs with a vision should be doing what they can on all levels for development.

I have family members who are there right now. Many have opened businesses. Not a single one of them referred to what they were doing as developing Ghana. Not one.

Yeah, the way his post was worded made it sound like it was some charitable act lol. It's a business move, but it will still stimulate the local economy. Private investment is good :yeshrug:

Above the fray.
You trying too hard. If you walked into any city and there were 100 of these and came back 2 years later and they were 200 of em and built by the locals, does that not count as development?

And it seems you think it HAS to mutually exclusive, if it's generating income then it cannot be for development.

If Lockheed established a production center here to make money and they did ,does that automatically means it did not contribute towards development?

Yes I'm Ghanaian and yes it'll be highly beneficial to me, but your point is obtuse.

and SO?

my nephew says that and I've picked it up as a saying ...hehehehehe

Seriously though, OK, for the 3rd time, I'm tipping my cap to you for this business move. There was a recent post here about Shaq "building up Newark". I read the article and know some of the logistics of the deal and it just rubbed me the wrong way. My antenna was already up about the word "development", so forgive me for raining on your parade.

Out here heavy. But you never see them in the cities. They hide out in concentrations in the weirdest spots. You'll go to some remote Ass location and they'll have like 5 mansions out there running straight of generators like:dwillhuh:

You don't need to be overly critical of OP on this.

Businesses don't magically turn into economic contribution overnight even when profitable. That takes time to do, and with size and numbers taking into account.

Do I smell hate.

A lounge is a good source of revenue stream, and a good way to connect with people. I think that part is underrated. Being the owner of A lounge is as good of a way to do this as any.

Paid a little bribe for the building permit.
Once its up I gotta see whatsup with local goverment.
Business registration is a breeze.

This whole project is about $18000 for completion. I'm about $10k short but slowly but surely I'll get there.
