I remember skipping school to beat shenmue 2 :wow:

:ohhh: I did the same thing but for Shenmue 1 though. I was stuck on the part where you have a short amount of time to go to one of your homies house to get a motorcycle and than you have to drive back to the harbor. shyt took me almost a month and I thought about quitting, but there was a boring ass day at my school and I was like fukk it Imma bounce and play some Shenmue and when I got back I finnaly found the motorcycle and passed this hard ass part of the game. :lawd: :myman:

#GiveYuTheShenmueLicense | Blue Skies Daily
This coming Monday is September the 3rd and if you’re a frustrated Shenmue fan, you know what that means: Shenmue Tweetathon!

The campaign was started in January of this year by “Team Yu.” It was inspired by an interview with Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki in which he claimed that if he could get the license from Sega, he would be interested in completing the saga (most likely with his development studio, YS Net).

In response, Team Yu set off on a campaign to persuade Sega to give Suzuki the Shenmue license by encouraging fans to tweet the hashtag #GiveYuTheShenmueLicense on the third of every month. The movement has been growing each month and has even attracted the attention of the mainstream gaming press.

Initially I was a bit torn about the campaign, mostly because as an unabashed Sega fan, it was difficult for me to see the company portrayed as an antagonist of sorts. On one hand, I love Shenmue and want to see the series completed. On the other, I can empathize with Sega for not wanting to give up a brand that still potentially holds some value to them, even though they may not have the resources to do anything with it right now.

That said, I still support this movement for three reasons. One, it has an intelligent and sensible goal. Two, it is carried out by true Shenmue fans in a grassroots fashion. And finally, perhaps most importantly, it has raised/reignited awareness and interest of not only the issue regarding the series’ conclusion, but the Shenmue name in general.

So I encourage everyone to tag a tweet or two with #GiveYuTheShenmueLicense on Monday- not just because it’s an important issue for fans, but also because it’s a fun way for those of us captivated by Ryo Hazuki’s unfinished quest to interact and share our love of the series.
:mjpls: Its not gonna work or happen. :to: :sadbron:

Now all you did was piss me off that there isn't going to be a third one.:bustback:

That game was epic and kept me up many nights. I beat both of them mad as hell that I didnt get to Lan Di. I remember when I was talking to my boyfriend some odd years ago about it and I think that was the day he fell in love with me because his words were "You know about Shenmue?":ohhh:

:ohhh: That's crazy. Cool ass story. Its a shame there probably will never be a Shenmue 3. This was the only game I was actually emotional attached too and cared the most about. I keep saying to myself like almost every year mann Sega and the creators of Shenmue are gonna come to there senses and are finally gonna drop that Shenmue 3, but it hasn't ever happened or worked. :to:

Crazy how Part 2 was just as epic as part 1 in the later stages. That shyt was turnt up as fukk.

They oughta make a 3rd one. I imagine with all the advances in technology, that it wouldnt cost as much as it used to back in the 90s.

lol :pachaha: my bad fam. I wasn't checkin' the Aracadium a couple months ago, I only been on the Arcadium for a quick minute or so breh. But, nah I don't think we are ever gonna see a 3rd Shenmue breh :to: I been wishing and hoping for more than 10 years, but I just don't see it happening. Plus, the Shenmue series is like the most expensive game ever IIRC.

All good bruh man ... Now back to the topic, I think the original is coming to XBLA this year if I'm not mistaken ....as far as a third installment is concerned, seeing the shenmue saga completed on a next gen platform would b too :whew: for me to even handle...it would truly b some next level shyt

werd? :ahh: that sounds dope. no joke, but Shenmue 3 on a new console or platform would be :lawd: I mean Shenmue on the Dreamcast was ahead of it times, but on another platform would be some ingenious shyt right there. It would be too dope for its on good. To me how I feel about Shenmue 3, if there was this one day and a miracle happens that Shenmue 3 is somehow gonna be released, I wouldn't even care much if it wasn't somehow on the level of the first 2 Shenmue's or the ending sucked, I would just be happy they finally released it. even if it would happen like that, and it would be a huge-ass let down, I would actually be relived that a 3rd one finally came out imo

:smh: tell me about it breh. you don't even know breh, it rubbed me the wrong way and was like the ultimate :pacspit: to Shenmue fans and people who played the game. I was pissed off for years at Sega, I even sold my Dreamcast, both Shenmue's and all my other games since I knew there wouldn't be another one, but than I bought the Dreamcast and both Shenmue games again like 2-3 years later :damn: I was like fukk mann I gotta play this again. The game was like real life to me.
