I went to the liquor store to buy a lotto ticket and these clowns have on gloves and a mask behind behind bullet proof glass :what:
Oh they take that sht seriously. The only bussinesses in my town that still got full masks and gloves on is the Asian alterations/dry cleaner spot and the print shop. Everybody elsejust accepted covid snd kept it pushing.

Outside of black Americans, the Vietnamese are the predominant minority on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and yea, they run quite a few seafood spots down there. A good portion of the shrimpers are Vietnamese.

Me and my wife went to a place in Bloomington, IL called "Tasty Crab".

Nothin' but Asians working there, so you know it was family owned. They look out for their own, which I 100% respect. The food was good and they gave good service.

Now I got a taste for some:noah:

Book about regional food history, that has come up in past discussions. This page covers Vietnamese migration to Louisiana and their contributions to that food culture.

Cali has a Vietnamese population since roughly the same time. So those folks just linked up with their cousins and brought it to Cali.

Yep, but some of they batches be hit or miss. I remember getting a pound of shrimp and thought that shyt was the best i ever had, went again and that was chewy like it was undercooked. Most the non-seafood only places are straight tho. Many of the Chinese spots also have a fully Hispanic staff so there's that also.

Specifically the Vietnamese? In Cali 95% are owed by Vietnamese. I know they have a big presence down south. I’m assuming they were the ones to bring in those sauces :banderas: I always get the sauce that mixes everything together with medium spice with Shrimp, clams, crawfish, sausage, corn and potatoes :eat:. I can handle spice like a muthafuka but Medium is the max I’ll go so I don’t ruin the seafood flavor. Be warned if y’all ever go Hot with sauces. Burn a hole through ya a$$hole fa sho :merchant:
No that is from down south black people and cajuns make the best seafood boil

I'm just starting to explore places outside the regular shyt so if you have any recommendations I'll be sure to note them. I already got a lil list of places me n my girl need to hit up
