I mean people in Dallas have been referring to drug houses as traps since the 80s(documented)

There was no ATL rappers out in the 80s, let alone trap music so ATL literally had zero influence to start a trend like that.

I think ATL stole that word just like they stole crunk

Zay I don't mean to change the topic on you but last time I was in Dallas was 2012 and I wanted to know why nikkas cut their hair where it's just a patch on the back but the front is buzzed and lined. What's up with that?

But it doesn't really matter who first mentioned it, ATL rappers popularized it and made it what it is.
