Breh there is literally maps of settlements and rivers before the desert came about. Africa was so rich in waterways that it was easily to float from south or west or central Africa to North Africa or East.

This explains why some Pharoahs are from Central and West Africa it was easy to travel. This also explains why some Indians in Americas utilize the same boats as Africa.

Atlantis was more than likely a civilization that master the water.

This also explains the folkore that Egypt (Kemet) was a settlement after a disaster struck.
