The producers featured on The Truth and The Reason damn near mirrored the ones Jay had on The Dynasty: Roc La Familia through to The Black Album. No one received a bigger on that label than Beans.

Cam'ron's '02 signing really highlighted this because he was able to not only go platinum without a million Jay features, but he also dropped two top 5 Billboard 100 smash hits ('Oh Boy' and 'Hey Ma').

No excuse for Beans, even guys like Black Rob were going platinum during that era - the public just weren't feeling Beans like that. Had nothing to do with being held back.

Being that Scott Storch is from Philly also, I think Philly MC's really didn't get production from Storch enough. It not only would've benefited the MC's, but would've improved Storch's standing as well. It would've given Beans the opportunity to get introspective over production that didn't sound like the sped up soul sound at the time, but still soulful.

He indirectly shytted on Premo for having too many flutes in Nas Is Like instrumental...and Rocafella had problems with Queensbridge, so a Havoc beat was outta the question
