No... I would have told those old ass black people like Michael Eric Dyson, Sharpton, Oprah, and these other to kiss my ass on some tupac shyt....

That show was not only hilarious but factual and he was even getting on white people...

But these same ass Oprah Winfrey old blacks who came to him about it are the same Motherfukkers who supported all these black slaves, mammy roles in Hollywood..

That show painted black people in a negative light, though... It wasn't intentional, but you have to understand...if I was a white dude who had prejudice thoughts of blacks, this show would simply reinforce those thoughts. White folk know black people through television and television does not paint us in a positive light. We understand what Chapelle was doing and saying...but that was completely lost on his white audience.

They were laughing at us, not with us...Chapelle even said that. It's never JUST comedy...to them it just reinforces the deep seeded racist thoughts they have of us. That's why I'm more against rap in general and how it has been marketed as I get older. While it has helped some brothers and sisters, think it has destroyed many more. Just my opinion. We gotta be smarter and stop giving "them" material.

Remember when he said he was doing now a racial joke and realized that people where laughing AT him and not WITH him? Then be bolted to AFRICA?

You must be a CAC. Every black person I know knew exactly what he was saying in that statement
That was towards the third season. Chappelle was good with the first two seasons and bounced when it started becoming bullshyt creatively. In effect, he stopped the show BEFORE it started to make black people look bad, not AFTER. :kobe1:

His skits also reinforced many racist stereotypes that white supremacist label black Americans.

I don't see how you can excuse that or turn it into a form of entertainment.

2 questions:

1 - who gives a fukk what wht people think or say about us?

2 - without this material, these racist fukks won't think this way about us, or think better of us??

This generation can't understand the brilliant comedy that Dave gave us.

In a few years their comedians are gonna be on stage walk up to the Mic and say "that face you make when you pour cereal and there's no milk :to: "

That vine/Instagram comedy skits. Most of that ish is trash. Hell, I think it being trash is the actual joke and all the youngins get it.

Chappelle is a brilliant mind, that analogy he used in the Netflix special about 25k and p*ssy, nobody can do that but him.
