Great show. Felt great to be a black man. He said corny lines sometimes but im glad they made jokes about that. Thats why i loved it more than daredevil

The show was dope to me. You didnt have to love it but I question the "blackness" of anyone on here going out of their way to shyt on this show. It feels good seeing a 5 star rated show of black excellence.

Just finished the show.
One of the stereotypes the Luke Cage show tried to put on black people was the whole "no snitching" thing basically making it a running joke in the show with black criminals saying "i aint see shyt" but in real life police officers follow a code of No Snitching more than any group of inner city black people and they get away with crimes because of that no snitching.
The show had c00n dialogue running through it if you paid attention for instance the Detective lady constantly saying how this system Works. Regardless of all the corruption and white supremacy she sees and ignores the system Works huh...
Diamondback's spitting bible verses every other line was cringeworthy.
They put some good constructive dialogue in there but its all for naught if you mix it with c00n dialogue to smooth everything over. Some of the character interactions sounded cornier than doritos. The action and excitement was underwhelming for me considering I watch alot of martial arts movies and just finished Power Season 3.
I really do appreciate a black hero with a majority black cast but dont pander to me with pro black talk mixed with some self destructive sambo rhetoric.

We're gonna have to disagree on that one. There's some good ideas/messages sprinkled throughout but a lot of that dialogue is so forced and corny I had to remind myself I was watching a show based on a comic
