2002-03 yayo was fire and everybody was on his dikk screaming free yayo, there was never any weak link talk until game/d block made it cool to hate yayo in 05

had he not been in jail and dropped in 04 before game did, people would be putting his project alongside straight outta cashville and hunger for more

in 05 when he actually did drop, he wasnt as sharp as he was before going to jail but his album was definitely solid and better than any other g unit related album to come out following it sans-grodt soundtrack

I always thought he was wack. 50 was the General and Banks was the PLK, the separation was too wide. After their run, the music landscape changed and you really talking wack and I grew more of an appreciation for him. Can’t listen to a full album by him but he put out some hard shyt like this

Yayo served his purpose. He played his position. He was down with Fif from day 1. Before Em, before 50 getting shot. Stood next to 50 when 50 was a dead man walking right after he survived getting shot. Still down too.

He is the hype man, brings the energy, and got an eye for talent. He brought Banks to G-unit.

Banks had the punchlines, 50 had the hooks, Yayo had the adlibs and energy with some funny/crazy lines sprinkled here and there too.

That's about it. :yeshrug:

I can't remember one lyric he ever said
Get the fukk outta here 187 Yayo is one big quotable

P89 Ruger with the silencer
Let off a clip it sound like spitballs goin through straws
We got, plenty of ratchets but not on sale
We even got villagers that hold shotgun shells
These rappers is talkin 'bout bricks in they rhymes
You never did shyt but some Mickey Mouse crimes

Get rich in the game, nikkas out to get you
Fill your ass up with led turn yo' ass to a pencil
I jumped out with the Ruger rapid-fire
I had you on the run like Omar on "The Wire"

Yayo was nice but I always looked at him as someone who came up off the strength of his loyalty even though he can rhyme he just wasn’t as marketable as the others. But around that time 50 and the unit was hot anyone could’ve been made a star off the strength of affiliation. If Game would’ve stayed in the Unit though:wow:

They could’ve easily been better than any other crew before them except maybe Rocafella
