It helps, the same way every kid knows how to load and chamber guns from playing call of duty.

false, cod doesnt teach u shyt bout shooting, only thing it improves is twitch skills, and some what better hand eye coordination, madden u can learn coverages, schemes, plays, blocking assignment, learn about gaps, learn the right move in a certain situation, u can prepare yourself for certain situations kinda extra study when u can be on the field, cod is who can aim a crosshair and who can press the button faster

i was fully expecting people to think I was crazy but I guess not :leon:

The Madden babies are the future

seriously, Madden 2004 had cheap ass Michael Vick and his abillity to scramble so well. RG3, Wilson, Cam, etc had to have wanted to be just like that when they were playin that version of Madden

Ive played football and madden does not teach you skill or technique because there is none in madden. It does give you a better understanding of the sport, but if you were a coach or player trying to pull some madden shyt in a game...

Gives you a little more understanding of how to set up certain defenses and how to run some offensive sets.

I would say yes since the PS2/PS3 era...those games are simulating the real NFL playbooks

not a qb obviously, but madden taught me the importance of timing your throw for posts, ins and outs. Even curls. As soon as the break in the route is done and the WR gets separation....zip it in there :ehh:

Taught me why 3 and 5 step drops must be executed
running through holes
staying in the pocket

etc etc. good thread

Summer 7 vs 7 tournaments against other 4-5 star recruits has changed the games (think of AAU for basketball players). H.S. offenses are way more pass heavy and complex now as a result.

To me any video game helps breed more knowledge for athletes and a good tool to help them learn and grow.

I didn't claim that it helped with your marksmanship. I only stated that it provides a rough draft of the physical motions that are necessary
When loading and chambering a gun.

Pilots have been using flight simulators for decades now, so it's not a stretch at all. I mean, before Madden (and the internet in general) nikkas didn't have access to playbooks and defensive/offensive sets.
