I think the media and availability of watchign games has helped more than anything else.

Plus these cats coming up get to see how the media can build you up and tear you down quick as hell. Its so crazy seeing how polished most of the QB's are when it comes to handling media questions these days.

Young black qbs learned well from the Vick debacle.

the bolded help tho, that just more of a reminder, even if it aint the full book it give u a summary, without video games that summary would exist

nah, cause you can easily play madden using plays that you know will work...just off the fact of understanding the flaws in game physics and how to exploit them.

i can understand madden being able to "teach" kids in pop warner, just because how they're unable to understand certain things unless they see them..

but Dezmon Briscoe not understanding how Defenses roll coverages is more of a lack of an attempt to learn how to play WR, and getting by just off athleticism.... or having a coaching staff who didn't really teach him much in HS.

:ohhh:

when they had that passing vision it taught you how to read the defense and make quick decisions..then the bums complained and got it taken out.

Vick is the prime example for what you don't want to be as a mobile QB.... he spent all of his life just getting by off athleticism, and didn't attempt to hone his passing until he was in his 30's.

Jimmy Clausen was already a better passer before he graduated HS than Vick has ever been as an NFL Quarterback.

him wanting to be "that nikka " far more than he wanted to be the best QB in the NFL and it biting him in the ass doesn't have much to do with that.

Jamarcus and Vince Young didn't learn from Vick at all.

I can honestly say since I started Playing so called Sim Football Games like Madden and NCAA some 6 Years back my football knowledge has substantially increased

Playing Madden wont make you a better football persay, but it can def teach you alot when it comes to Football Theory In General

you already had to read the defense, then they made you have to physically read the defense... it was redundant and unrealistic by all means.

it just seems good to people who never played football.

:leon: it was more for the defense to read the qb eyes, u could really trick lb and safety wit it, u could look off your main receiver, and starting looking some where else, get that safety to follow u and then bounce back to that safety u just moved place and make a great throw, if they would have kept 90 percent of the stuff they took out the game would be leaps and bounds better, but every game they seem to take something out

it sounds great, but it didn't work that way in actual games... and that's why it's gone.

since like 2005, they've don't know wether they want to make the gameplay more fun for non football types, or more realistic...and they've fukked up almost everytime they've tried to do both.

Kaepernick,RG3 and Wilson aren't dumb hood nikkas either.

and Cam didn't truly learn from Vick, considering why he got kicked out of Florida and how his dad was shopping him around to SEC schools.

and at the same time, they didn't get the type of money Vince and Jamarcus got either... them dudes were set for life ( if they weren't dumb hood nikkas) before they ever set foot on an NFL field.

Which is how I interpreted it as well.
It's not going to increase your arm strength, physical strength or techniques.
Didn't that used to be one of the main reasons they tried to avoid rookie QBs "learning on the job" whenever possible? To learn? I don't think it's a huge effect, but there is some effect there.

Also doesn't hurt that they're coming up in a time when the league has started to favor passing offenses like never before.

I played ol/dl in high school but I pretty much learned to read coverages and what to do against zone or blitz from madden.

it was better than having people scramble with vick to one side of the field and then bomb it to the other side with perfect accuracy.
