I can't find any clips or read any articles about it. It's just mostly Dehaven exposing your boy lol!

I want to know how he went from Sean Carter in 1986 to Jay-Z and went to live with Jaz-O in London for 2 years between 1988 - 1989.

He finally got on after a decade of rejections and tracing paper leaving the fuschickens sh1t alone but he kept Jaz-O's name still. It's clear it's from Jaz-O because his name has 2 birth origins lol. Once Jay-Z said it's because he is so Jazzy then he said it's because of the J-Z Marcy train. Whichever way he did not start in rap with 5 million from drug money like Memphis Bleek said unless Dame and Biggs start up money wouldn't have been needed.

So facts from fiction. The hiphops greatest drug kingpin was living in London at the height of the crack pandemic in 1988 to 1989 making hypeman money.

Jaz-O must have also bared influence on his drug persona too?

He used them

I know Jaz-O and Dehaven are both now wearing paper plane caps.

Which means they are now on the roc team or at least got cut a nice bag or at least some perks.

I would likely think Jaz-O being Jay's mentor that he would have been an influence in the streets as well. I never watched the Vlad Interviews which I will be doing now that Vlad is no longer cancelled I guess lol.

Thanks, I forget that some of the labels were based in UK at the time. Jungle Brothers recorded in metro London around the same time, too.

Yeah Jungle Brothers lol, they got enough love from hiphop fans in the US too.

So did he really sell drugs like that or was he small time?

My personal novice opinion is, he never moved 92 bricks worth or even raised 5 million dollars off it.

All these rappers have a drug past and exaggerate I think Jay is no different even Lord Jamar sold drugs and everybody else. Dehaven and Jaz-O have said similar even Dehaven saying Jay just a driver one summer and that's it. I dont think it qualifies him being synonymous with hustler drug rap.

Jay used to sell fried chicken he never raps about that legit past. :hubie:

I don't think Jay ever said he got his name from the train lines. Fans made assumptions and made that up. He did say the 'jazzy' line. Which you are right OP is just cover for biting Jaz O.
Jay did his thing in the street but I think his street accomplishments are exaggerated. But many people say he had money already when he started to pop with In My Lifetime and Dead Presidents. Check his first few videos when he is on that bum label Payday. They are high budget for some guy on a label like Payday.

Back when he was 17 years old, Jay-Z worked at a local chicken spot in Brooklyn called “Crown Fried Chicken”. Jay returned back to the chicken restaurant in 1998 as part of a photo shoot for Blaze magazine. Crown Fried Chicken is still in business all these years later.

I appreciate your assessment.

Jay does a lot of fooling people I mean if you can get away with it. For example on this TV Interview I think Jimmy Kimmel. Jay is talking about how he is a Boss because he signed Kanye West and Frank Sinatra signed Jimmy Hendrix. I was thinking no one watching would know it was Dame.

Anyway all hiphop fans know how Jay moves he gets static for sh1t like this and becoming too bougie to celebrate hiphops grand anniversary but go sit on Tom Bradys lap. I don't know I think he is overly calculated since Un Riveria was his first charge ever "He had no priors". It's a safe bet to say its heavily fabricated.

If this were a YouTube video it’d do numbers

During my pre-14 year old era of childhood my father would often take me out hustling and I’d read 50 Cent’s Pieces to Weight book with him as we drove around to the region

He was literally entertained by the man’s story but was convinced that 50 Cent is an actor from Julliard with a fabricated story. Also felt 50 Cent’s crack conviction as a teen lending to boy camp was a bit of a kushy case result

Come to find out, years later 50 Cent ends up being fast tracked into the TV/film production world and I began to wonder too
