word was he was about to purchase and franchise to compete with Rick RossDamn Jay worked at Crown Fried? He came a long way.
They studied Dr.York's teachings as Nuwabians.Marc Lamont Hill said dude was in a cult... never listened to Jaz-O in my life
Jay moves way too smart. It's clear he knows how to make money lol.
I think it was Cam who said he saw TahTah with Jay eating Burgers and TahTah pulled out the biggest wad of stacks he ever seen.
Just asking them questions though![]()
Based on what we know of Jay, this is actually the most believable part to me. He seems like one of the few people who is going to leave his illegal hustle alone while he’s hot, take a step back, in order to make a longer term legal play.I think there might be a few out there questioning the legitimacy of his drug persona past though.
I just was wondering if it made much sense. It's like me and you leaving our city making millions a week to fly off to Australia to make a couple hundred dollars a month for a newish fad called "afro-beats". Because I don't think many 1988 hustlers would leave NYC for hiphop in London, England.
Doom, Badu, Dead Prez to an extent also followed the teachings of Malachi Z York. They studied Dr.York's teachings as Nuwabians.
Musiq Soulchild's family has ties to the Nuwaubians, Prodigy does, as does Dr. York's son Jacob York (Executive producer and Manager for Lil Kim, Bigige and Others).
Thats a fact. A lot of conscious people at the time did.Doom, Badu, Dead Prez to an extent also followed the teachings of Malachi Z York.
Yall do know that "Blaze" interview was fiction?
I can't find any clips or read any articles about it. It's just mostly Dehaven exposing your boy lol!
I want to know how he went from Sean Carter in 1986 to Jay-Z and went to live with Jaz-O in London for 2 years between 1988 - 1989.
He finally got on after a decade of rejections and tracing paper leaving the fuschickens sh1t alone but he kept Jaz-O's name still. It's clear it's from Jaz-O because his name has 2 birth origins lol. Once Jay-Z said it's because he is so Jazzy then he said it's because of the J-Z Marcy train. Whichever way he did not start in rap with 5 million from drug money like Memphis Bleek said unless Dame and Biggs start up money wouldn't have been needed.
So facts from fiction. The hiphops greatest drug kingpin was living in London at the height of the crack pandemic in 1988 to 1989 making hypeman money.
Jaz-O must have also bared influence on his drug persona too?
