they did cross over

What other single crossed over after If it isn't love on the album.

Yo i love the NE love but some of yall are making them out to be these huge sellers you know when B2k was out the joke in the industry use to be man we put NSYNC money and didn't even get New Edition results.

MCA put a lot of money into the Heartbreak LP with Jam and Lewis coming off Janet Jackson 6 times platinum that is what they wanted for New Edition not platinum but MCA got lucky that Bobby's LP took off the way it did because they never seen that shyt coming.

That's a big what if. All acts runs their course, no telling if they would've successfully navigated that bridge from 88-92 when music shifted. They would've had to compete with tony toni tone, jodeci, mint condition, hi five, troop, shai, silk, possibly Boyz II Men.

Dem 90s R&B groups though. :noah:

Actually the "Heart Break" album went 2x Platinum.

here in newyork, there was played on top 40 radio heavy,
"If It Isn't Love" peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the later 4 singles all flopped on The Billboard Hot 100. So I doubt the later 4 singles got any play on Mainstream Top 40/Pop radio.

I meant during that album run i know it got it in 94

nikkas thinking Heartbreak was a monster when MCA didn't even give NE money for the NE Heartbreak video Malcolm Jamal Warner had to come out his pockets for it and didn't even give them a video for the Crucial remix.

While MCA was trying to get Bobby off that white girl so him and Big Daddy Kane could cut the I'll Be Good to you remix but then On Our Own hit like a fukking monster, shyt i might ask Big Daddy Kane if he ever cut that track with Bob

All facts^

I'm telling y'all. In fact a better question would be did New Edition stagnate Johnny Gill. Son could have been a bigger solo act had he not fukked with them.

You got Bobby doing coke fukking raggedy bytches eating coke off they p*ssy, Michael being a slick dude and Ralph doing a lot of the real work. Johnny walked into a mess and stuck with them brothers but had he said f it and just stayed Solo he would be a way bigger act than he was solo wise.

Eating coke on their p*ssy :picard:

Is it true ?

What was the "Crucial remix"? Can you post a YouTube video of it?
