That tour money will keep him straight for a long time.

Also, dude earlier mentioned that Wiz is forgotten - Wiz can get $100g's for his big shows, that ain't forgotten.

You're overestimating what these dudes need to be doing. Skee Lo became a multi millionaire off one track - so someone like Wiz will be eating good forever.

lol@ this nikkas delusional fanbase, nikka aint selling out stadiums like a Wiz Khalifa can. he's more like a lounge nikka. Small club here and there. Never the main act really.

and he never took off cuz he really wasnt bout shyt. his goal was for people to know him by any means and by the time people did he had nothing to sell em.

Classic example of "the game is to be sold, not told".

It ain't dead yet, but the once tight grasp is gradually slipping away. Kinda like how Lil Jon came out in 2003 and gradually shifted the attention from NY to the south. Then in 2005, the likes of Jeezy, Boosie, and the Texas movement all but killed NY dominance. Same thing happening now. In the next 8-10 months, shyt will shift and move the 808s into something else.
Everything ebbs and flows my nikka. 2013 was just a bad year for rap period. What good major releases were there? What good new artists came out? What's the album of the year? What's the mixtape of the year? People keep saying "rap is good u just have to find it"... I'm on here all day and most of the shyt I'm hearing nikkas post is gabbage.

Lil B is one of the few rappers I still listen to, because regardless of anything his shyt knocks and he has fun with it. I can't think of too many 2013 rappers that have that combo for me, AND a consistent output of music.

Even the amount of threads ain't all that anymore. Lil B and Wiz Khalifa are damn near forgotten in the new era of talented rappers. Party rap ain't the super dominant force it once used to be. We didn't even have a summer lockdown in Hip Hop, in terms of club joints, this year.

That statement is so true, and it kind of scares me. Makes me wonder the future of hip-hop.

people need to realize that Based God is here for the long haul. There is no benefit for him to "blow up" because as soon as you do, your only a year or 2 away from being irrelevent. Lil B gonna be here in 20 years still and people will still be asking, why aint Lil B blow up ?

I think the "I'm Gay" album killed him.

nah, it didn't and it was a great album TBH

i just think instead of figuring out what to do next, he keep doing what he'd been doing, which is putting out music.

his situation is different from 99% of up and coming artists in that people hear damn near all of the music he's putting out. with other up and coming cats, you dont hear their shyt until they blow or else you as a fan just goes out of your way to listen to all of their shyt, which most people arent doing.

on the flipside, Based God is making $$$$ doing shows all over the place, which is very uncommon for an up and coming artist

Some of his most 'based' fans weren't going to cop an album called I'm Gay though, regardless if they actually thought he was homosexual or not. Had he not named the album that and it got better sales, he would have been in a much better position today. But, I think his time has come and gone. Again, he's still a young cat so he got time to do what he wants, but I doubt he can go back to the Wonton Soup type gimmick because well, been there done that.

Oversaturation of club music and wack ass rappers getting pushed caused it. People cn take only so much garbage before they stop fukking with it altogether.

I'll never forget the first time i heard lil b  i think the song was look like jesus, than after the kat stacks diss got me hooked :krs:

one thing i liked about lil b was he could switch up his style and also drop gems at the same time

blue flame and red flame :ohlawd:

what would be good is if he released a best of album collection, like one or double cd with loads info and other collectables, i would pay for that

this samples from all around the world from blueprint 2
