Biggie is the goat IMO and Pac is a legend. However LL cool J would have killed them both in his prime. LL cool J is one of the greatest ever. I'm gonna get heat for this. His catalogue is kinda dissapointing when you look at his mic skills

It has EVERYTHING to do with it.

Image on top has everything to do with rap, why u think style is a priority, especially in the hood?

My point is while big was selling crack back in the day, Heavy D was in full rotation, while Puff was a&r at MCA.

Ya boy Big even mentions Heav D int he 1st lines of his debut single.

what does this have to do with the way Biggie raps. Image has nothing to do with the way Biggie raps. Heavy D being in rotation while Puff was and A&R at MCA has nothing to do with the way Biggie raps. Neither does him mentioning Heavy in his first single... just stop breh you digging a hole

Sorry to tell you Puff engineered Big's "Notorious" persona down to the lyric.

Yes Puff instructed the nicca to stop rapping like that and start rapping like this.

And Im by no means disrespecting Big, Im actually a fan and actually analyzed Big's flow vs Heav's and for ME there is some definite influence.

LoL, LL created the template for just about every rapper that came out after him from the 80s till now

It's hard to deny seeing as Pac himself told Biggie to sell records you have to make songs for the b*tches, and I'm sure Pac got that from LL.

just give Big his credit. No one was rapping like him before him. You making it sound like Puff or Heavy D has anything to do with how nice he is

only thing he ripped off was the chorus/title.... doesn't mean Big was following a template he created

I do.

And I am.

Nobody was rapping like LL, Cube, Kool G as well.

You act Chris wasnt rhyming along with his fav raps as a kid.

How do you think he learned his cadence and flow?

of course he was inspired by these guys, i would be foolish to say otherwise. but using their template.. i just don't see it.

LL has 3 classics and a near classic along with 2 solid to good albums and a :ehh: album. The rest was :trash:. I wouldn't call that disappointing.
