Word. GT has never been considered canon, and the films have even less credibility given that Toriyima (the creator of Dragonball & Dragonball Z) had shyt to do with them. The spirit bomb was used three times. Once against Vegeta. Once against Frieza. And once against Kid Buu, with the latter being the only to fall to it.
