Phil Jackson told Kobe Bryant in the 05-06 season, 'If we're going to have any chance at going to the playoffs, you're going to have to carry the scoring load."

Kobe went out and averaged the the most PPG since Michael Jordan did it in the 80s. Capped it off with a quasi-historic 81, and had a 62pt game in 3 quarters, against a Dallas team that went to the Finals. When he left the game, he had 62 and Dallas had 61.

To show you how much sports media was in 'fukk you' mode with Kobe, there we writers who didn't even have him on their MVP ballot. I think it was Skip Bayless who said, 'I don't agree with Kobe not winning the MVP, but if you gave it to Nash, I can live with it. What I can't live with is, leaving Kobe off of your ballots, suggesting that there were 10 players in the NBA better than him that season."

You do realize Wade only played one season before Shaq came along right? Y’all motherfukkers are either stupid or simply didn’t actually watch the NBA back then.
He was right there on cusp before Shaq was there...that's not stupid. That's reality. By 06, he was Champion. Do the math.

I think u nyggas just read up on this and didnt watch jack shyt from 03-06. Hick status.

Wade was a rookie and helped lead his team to the second round of the playoffs, hitting a game winner buzzer beater in the first round against the hornets

fukk is you talking bout:martin:
Let's go back to 95..shaq two years in took his team to the Finals beating the Jordan Bulls to get there, Casual. Lol.

Shaq arrives to the Heat and Wade got the fukking ring in record time. How slow are u? Shaq left and there were no more rings till Lebron James. Are you catching on now, child?

Dumb nikkas say all this dumb shyt and don’t understand context.

How is reaching the 2nd rounds of the playoffs, as a rookie, mean someone is a loser? Wade was balling the fukk out and he was the CLEAR-CUT best player on a team WITH Shaq.

He was a rookie and averaged 21/5.7/4 against the Pacers before getting knocked out.

The next year, Shaq came through and Wade was still the best player in the playoffs when they swept the Nets and Wizards until losing in 7 with him outplaying Shaq the entire playoffs as a 23 year old.

So your argument is that Wade wasn’t winning championships as a fukking rookie, only one year before Shaq got there, and that he got injured after Shaq left?

If Kobe and Shaq deserved it then they would have won

Nash to the Suns created the biggest season to season increase in wins in history. That said, it was an incredibly close race w him just edging out Shaq in votes.

06 was another story. Kobe somehow deserving that is a piece of dumb revisionist history. No one was really close to Nash but if anyone else was gonna get it, it was Lebron. Kobe wasnt even Top 3.

A guy that averaged 35 when the nba played the slowest pace in history...while leading the equivalent of a 15 win team to 45 wins and the playoffs didn't deserve mvp?

Do you guys care about defense or no? Kobe was a better two way player, more dominant offensively & defensively.

Not just that, but the best Heat player not named wade from 2006-07 through 2009-10 was either a super washed jermaine O’Neal, Michael Beasley, or a washed up Shaq who missed half the season before being traded the next year. Pat retired halfway through 2007-08 and Spo has been the coach ever since :hhh:

nikka acting like all rookies even the number one picks are all just leading their team to the second record, hitting game winner to get his team there and establishing him as the clear-cut best player on his team within months :heh:
