This live performance by Lutha was so good Jamie Foxx had to sample it for that song he did with Kanye
Yeah, I understand where you are coming from completely. His catalogue wasn't as diverse as Sams.Great voice, but Luther's voice never screamed the potential to be...risky.
I don't know if I'm making sense. Luther couldn't sing to you about the world ending around you... Sam could... and make it sound sweet.
we talking voice only? R. Kelly >>>>>

he's unreal.Dude is the king of runs & rifts. Vocals are like a live instrument or something.
Great voice, but Luther's voice never screamed the potential to be...risky.

That brothers voice was angelic.
Like, with allot of great singers or artists, they all have great sounding voices,
but sometimes you can find a "flaw" (for lack of a better word) or something you dont like about their voice.
Like with Michael Jackson, you could say his voice was a little girly.
Or with Barry White, you could say his voice was too deep or too baritone sounding
(not saying his voice was bad, it was dope as hell, but that baritone voice is probably not for everyone)
or even with someone like the Weeknd(not trying to put him in the same category as the above singers),
you could say that his voice is too high pitched.....
but with Sam Cooke, I can't find anything about his voice that I dont like, it was just angelic.....
the live version of Bring It On Home To Meand the ending
Crazy thing is Sam Cooke's gospel work was even better than his secular work.
