Yeah he went overboard in that demian maia fight too, as much as I hate admitting it, he just got knocked the fukk out. He was taunting too much and got caught by a basic punch. Silva always bows out gracefully after a fight, I bet the fighter in him doesn't want to give weidman that satisfaction. I say silva comes in a monster and kills him in a rematch.

Boxers are still winning when it come to money.

One of the reasons it's always funny to me that people say boxing is dead.

Boxers (well, TOP boxers anyway) are winning when it comes to money because, for all intents and purposes, they are independent contractors. UFC fighters though pretty much do what Dana wants for whatever Dana decides to pay them.

It has less to do with the popularity of the sports and more to do with the structure/lack of structure of the sports and organizations involved.

That being said... boxing >>>>>>>>>> MMA

Dana is worse than Don King was. He has people thinking UFC is to MMA as Kleenex is to tissues. Some people actually think Anderson Silva was undefeated because of this.

I agreed with your post up until your >>>> it ruined a good post. but ima still dap you up for the beginning.

This structure perceived in the UFC is always a bad thing until people claim there are too many titles in boxing and that they need more unity with the sanctioning committees.

This subforum is gonna turn into a boxing vs mma pissing contest in every thread i feel

I cant stand Dana, but you cant say that its all on him. He's done well with the marketing to have the UFC the posterchild for MMA. There frankly isnt that much competition besides Bellator. Thats not really on him to make the casual fan think UFC=MMA.

That's actually the GOOD thing that Dana has done, for the UFC. His job is to make the UFC as big as possible, not necessarily MMA overall (even though it helps). Dana runs the UFC, it's in his best interest to be the "Kleenex" of mixed martial arts.
