I can’t take a battle serious when one dude has a team of ghost writers writing his shyt :mjlol: :camby:

Grown men never defended ghostwriting or texting 14 year girls until drizzy came along. Credit Drake's music for every fun time you've had in your life brehs :mjlol:

I think this will definitely go down as the greatest rap beef ever.
Had the whole world enthralled.

Wow you really think so? Can i ask how old you are and how long you've been involved in hip-hop (as a fan)?

Thats a HUGE statement which i would think many would disagree with.

pac and biggie was 1 actual diss track, a "maybe" subliminal that kicked it off and no formal response from biggie other than more subliminals after pac passed, it was never a full on battle

jay vs nas produced 2 of the greatest disses of all time but it didnt go as many rounds as drake kendrick and only took 1 round for a decisive winner to be determined

drake vs kendrick produced multiple top level tracks and moments in such a short period of time, these are two guys who have been at the top of the game for a decade plus with already solidified legend status going at it after a decade of tension brewing, we've never seen something of this magnitude before and probably never will again so I easily have this as the greatest battle of all time

if the “finish” of this ends up being people collectively pretending to believe fake pedo allegations because they hate a rapper so much and the other rapper resorting to using molestation as a punchline, I honestly don’t care to see another “rap battle” ever again….shyt was incredibly stupid, and ultimately was over and about what exactly?

I think this is what @Sad Bunny was saying. This battle got extremely dark.

But the sad truth is that the gossip/tea/allegations/hitting waaaay below the belt is what got so many eyes on this.

So folks are gonna aspire to that and they're going to go below the belt from here on out.

This battle set the new standard, as unfortunate as that may be.

i really think the biggest mistake drake made was having people gas up family matters as a nuke. It could never live up to expectations after a week of build up

Overall though this has been legendary and well worth the price of admission. 10/10, they entertainied and they got people excited about rap that been long tuned out, like me

exceeded the hype for me.

kdot surprised with how hard and relentless and personal he went. the number of tracks he dropped back to back was wild. then there was a point where he simultaneously kept it hip hop and pushed/crossed the line (on meet the grahams). i even think drake and his people were surprised and overwhelmed. then kenny hit him with 'not like us' and cemented his and drake's place in history.

wop wop wop wop wop!

:wow:

Agreed.

Drake took it there though so fukk that shyt. He tried too hard to be an “demon” after the Pusha T incident and it backfired on him. That red button was a firecracker 😂😂😂

Kendrick had to body him.

I was too young to understand Pac vs Big. I just got to high school when Jay vs Nas happenend, we ran up and down the halls talking shyt about who won.

This is generational, and i don't see how it happens again because i'm not sure if we will ever get mega stars like this again. Music is changing, AI was part of the fray this time, it's going to be front and center next time. Maybe with digital artist completely. This one right here, historic, and put the world on notice, it only happens in rap music.

1. Drake didn’t even drop a full diss track to Kendrick. And his final song was him waving the white flag or back pedaling. He clearly had help writing family matters as well. I also think it’s corny he is claiming to plant the fake daughter angle. Just weird as hell for a rap beef. he also kept defending snitching, but kendrick never even called him a snitch. Drake ain’t even a street nikka so what was the point of all that :dahell:

2. Now for my Kendrick criticisms: if he did not have 100% proof, he should have wrote that third verse on MTG to a potential future child or even to a potential future wife. This would have been my favorite song from the whole beef if not for the fake daughter. That song was so menacing and disrespectful and that scary ass beat that song felt like getting stabbed in my stomach and having the knife twisted for five minutes straight. :noah:

3. The ending is anticlimactic - I hate Drakes defensive angle. He really was crying on that last record. He ain’t built for this real nikka shyt :smh: What’s crazy is all of this happened within four days - Tuesday to Saturday :damn:

Bonus: I gotta salute Aubs because he went on demon time on Family Matters 😂 and he was flowing hard on that last beat 🤣🤣🤣 but that tough guy talk is a joke to me. It just feels so forced as someone who really grew up in the hood/lived in the jects and seen people shooting up and ODing, crackheads copping work at the corner, nikkas get their brains blown out while walking to class :smh:

This was definitely a crazy week. The end was a little anticlimactic with Drake's The Heart part 6. Wish he would have came harder (pause)
