I don't know if y'all remember when the game was hyping his double disc album the documentary 2 and how he had countless celebrities say how good it was, a few in fact I recall even saying it was a classic. Well in retrospect do you guys agree? Did the album even live up to its hype. I mean I would have to say it was a good album with quality production but to be honest I don't hear many speaking on it anymore.

Here are a few select songs from the project just to jog your memory:

2.5 was way better than doc 2

Both are good albums, grew on me heavily.

Didn't like them at all first few listens.

Also wished 50 was on there :francis:

Documentary 2 is CLASSIC. Honestly aside from nostalgia, it is on par with Doc 1 for me.

2.5 is ehhh for me,

I think if quiks groove, and Magnus Carlsen (with the stevie sample) were on doc 2, it would be an all time classic. some of 2.5's weaker tracks lessen the impact for me. but Game will always be GOAT

It's a great collection of music no doubt. High quality in every way. Just don't know if it will be considered a classic over time.

game's discog is very underrated imo!

I feel part of that is because he names drop too much and emulates his featured artist too much. Other than that no denying his talent.
solid effort for a sequel, not many can pull that off. This joint was tough

I agree, he did good for a sequel but was it a classic like he was saying?

Also I posted that joint in the OP. Easily one of the dopest on that record imo. I loved the way they sampled on and on.
