Of course as the game evolves the conversation evolves. No one talks about russell and the celtics cause none of us saw them play and full game clips of them do not exist or are at least not out there like that. But best believe wilt's and west's finals losses were always held against them because of the celtics. Lol @ it starting with bron. You bron stans are so insecure.

In the 80s, it was Magic who was king with 5 rings. No one gave a shyt about losses because he had 5 rings. Bird had 3. Those were the faces of the nba.

Then jordan came along and got 6 with zero fukking losses. Clearly better than both those two. Thats when the conversation shifted because you are trying to differentiate and rank the greatest amongst each other.

Now you got bron stans pissed off cause hes 3-4 in the finals and wanna cry about "bbbut isnt the point to make it to the finals:sadbron:?"
No the point is to make it there and win it you fukking fakkits. Now stfu with your whining

well said :salute:

The only thing harder than getting to the top is staying there.

When Jordan's Bulls got to the top, they stood there for 3 straight years, he left for 18 months, came back lost in the playoffs with no PF and came back and three-peated again.

It's about maintaining excellence. During the second three-peat Rodman was suspended a bunch of times and Scottie was injured through a few playoffs runs, yet Jordan steered the ship towards maintaining excellence.

I don't see what's so hard to understand about it. Once your team is good enough to play in the Finals then losing should be more amplified than losing in the first round, because losing in the first round most likely has to do with the actual whole team.

Lmao

This is bron stans new talking point. No one thinks its better to lose in earlier rounds, but if you're good enough to make it to the finals, you're good enough to win it a la jordan and the bulls.

If you lose in the earlier rounds, its most likely because you have a shytty or inferior team. But lebron had #1 or #2 seeds with 61 and 66 win teams losing in earlier rounds. Jordan and the bulls never did that.

Show me the year the bulls were #1 seed or even #2 seed in the east and lost in "earlier rounds". You can't. So stop with this losing in earlier round bullshyt as if jordan and the bulls were losing as #1 or #2 seeds in earlier rounds like lebron. Bulls were losing in earlier rounds as a shytty or inferior team.

shytty teams aren't supposed to make it to the finals.

They want consolation prizes for almost making it. WOAT fan base in sports. fukking crybabies. You don't hear Brady stans wanting consolation prizes for the Patriots 2007 season. They don't need to cry about that one loss or the other one either because Brady got 5 rings :dame:

When Jordan had two rings, he said Bird and magic were who he was chasing. He put that out there. He said those two were above him. He set them as the standard he was chasing. He set out to surpass those two and did and so then he became the gold standard.

Lebron wants to talk all this "im chasing a ghost" shyt, "striveforgreatness" hashtags propaganda, but the moment he gets compared to the GOAT he's chasing, its ,"why cant i just be me?", "WHEN the game's over, I'm thinking about going home and playing with my sons. There's more to life than basketball." He wants to be considered the greatest but hates being compared to the greatest because of his failures and how they dont stack up.

That's why he's so corny. So are his fans. He wants to sneak diss with all these memes and charts and stats and be considered the greatest when he has success but he doesn't want to deal with the burden of living up to that standard when he fails. Put up or shut the fukk up. Damn. Kobe was never this bytchmade. LeBron already got his excuses ready if Cleveland loses. Kobe would just be like we lost, now it's onto next year and getting better.

Let's be real for a minute, if LeBron was undefeated in the NBA finals people would used that in a discussion with Jordan

And it wasnt because he sucked, or his team sucked, it was because the West that Kobe played in was one of the greatest, talented conferences in NBA history.

Lebrons east is fukking gahbage.

I dont see how lebron stans keep ignoring this fact,

Actually i see why they ignore it now, gotta keep the bias narratives going :mjlol:

If Lebron is losing to the BEST TEAMS in the greatest, most talented conference of all time...how is that a knock on him and not Kobe?

If the East is garbage then Lebron is already playing with house money. You can't excuse Kobe for losing against the talented Conference and then shame Lebron for losing against the best team in that same conference

Ain't nobody even thought of a damn "Finals Record" til dey heard dem 2 idiots on First Take say it, that's why I don't even take anybody who actually uses it as an argument seriously. Any nikka who actually says: "Finals Record" or "Clutch Gene" opinion is automatically thrown out the window as far as I'm concerned. Let's me know that Skip Bayless is your leader and has shaped the way you look at basketball and that says alot.

I honestly don't remember this growing before Lebron came along. And it certainly doesn't translate to other like football. Isn't the point to get to the Finals? I'm sure you asked Jordan would he rather get there 12 times and lose 6. He would have chosen to get there every year.

Yeah, it came about when someone legitimately came along to threaten jordan as GOAT. So it was Lebron.

Haters have warped reality so that if Jordan had been able to put his team on his back and get through Detroit all those earlier seasons BUT managed to lose in the finals it would have made him a WORSE PLAYER. Like... Literally, this broken logic means Jordan is a better player for getting bounced in EARLY ROUNDS of the playoffs instead of making it to the finals more of the 13 seasons he played for Chicago. :jbhmm:

But that's how it is when something goes from Historical to Legendary. Once something becomes a 'Legend', logic sort of breaks down surrounding it, and people will bend themselves into twizzlers to defend that legend.

Probably because the media has made it priority number one over the past year to put Bron in/above the Jordan tier when he only has half the amount of rings of MJ and in addition to that a record under 500 in the Finals. If you do that they gonna heavily scrutinize his resume.

People trying to give credit for Finlas losses, shyt is hilarious

Except Kobe made it out of that conference 7 times. Which means he had to face 3 of those Western Teams before meeting up with the east (where his teams took care of business 5 times out of 7)

Kobe lost to two VERY special EAST teams.

Lebron has lost 4 times already to this conference. Ofc his stupid ass record in the first round is good, dude playing against sub .500 teams in the first round.

You dumb af for actually needing me to explain that to you.
