Did the "how many Finals losses" begin with Lebron?

:gucci: I don't even know how to respond to this. The Big 3 Celtics and 07 Spurs were better than 91 Lakers and Utah? Better than Shaq and Penny led Orlando?
Did you say the 91 Lakers with rookie Divac at center and Terry Teague off the bench was a good squad?

And the Big 3 shyts on the Jazz and Penny and Shaq didn't play together long enough to be great.

:francis: Biggest what-if in NBA history for my money. The Heat might not ever have won any titles if Shaq stayed, the magic definitely get at least 1-2 of them, and I probably grow up a magic fan if he stays. Big guy left just as I moved to Orlando so I didn't get to watch him play regularly anymore :martin:

Shaq leaving ended a possible dynasty.

And the rest of those teams weren't worth noting. Dudes REALLY bigging up the 91 Lakers as special in here :mindblown:

As for those Jazz teams, their record in the 15 seasons malone and Stockton were together:

  • 7 times first round loss
  • 3 times second round loss
  • 3 times WCF finals loss
  • 2 finals loss
And I'm supposed to say they're better than the Spurs, Warriors, Big 3 Celts?? :childplease:

Are you guys already trying to come up with excuses if Bron loses this Finals? Let's be real, yes 8 final appearances, 7 in a row is a very good run. Taking two different teams to 4 finals also should be commended. With all that said if he losses that's a 3-5 record in the Finals (Also Let's not act like the Spurs and Warriors didn't basically have him in 2 of his wins too).

Jordan 6-0
Kobe 5-2

(Let's not forget Duncan is 5-1 by the way)

I'm sorry that can't be denied. Let's not move the goal post, 3-5 wouldn't be that great of a finals record period. Yes 3 Rings already cements his legacy as one of the greats but he's not over Jordan or Kobe. Jordan and Kobe had that killer instinct in every single finals period.

The Jazz were swept by the 7th seeded Warriors in the first round in 1989. Lost to the lower seeded suns in 1990. Blew a 2-1 lead in the first round of the 1995 playoffs to the 6th seeded Rockets. Malone made tons of dumb mistakes in the '97 and '98 Finals that could have cost them a title. Blew a 2-0 lead in the first round in 2001 and lost to the lower seeded Mavericks.

Yet the Warriors, Spurs and Big 3 Celts weren't better than those Jazz teams. :childplease:

The only thing harder than getting to the top is staying there.

When Jordan's Bulls got to the top, they stood there for 3 straight years, he left for 18 months, came back lost in the playoffs with no PF and came back and three-peated again.

It's about maintaining excellence. During the second three-peat Rodman was suspended a bunch of times and Scottie was injured through a few playoffs runs, yet Jordan steered the ship towards maintaining excellence.

I don't see what's so hard to understand about it. Once your team is good enough to play in the Finals then losing should be more amplified than losing in the first round, because losing in the first round most likely has to do with the actual whole team.
These fakkits are so daft breh.

3 teams have 3peated post merger. Jordan was the best player on 2 of them :mindblown:

They don't get it man. MJ got 2 threepeats yet they sayin LeFlop is better with zero threepeats.

MJ with his 6 rings, 6 FMVPs, 10 scoring titles, DPOY, 3x steals leader, back to back 100 block seasons, yet the media n stans wanna prop Lebron who has none of that:mjlol:

LeFlop can't even shoot 70% from the FT line breh.

"Not 3, not 4, 5, 6...." LeHurt does it to himself.

He was counting Finals losses:mjlol:
