Grooming is a weird word to use. She was born in 81, Jay 69. 12 year difference, but I thought they weren't dealing with each other until 02 which made her 21.

I really don’t think anything they did back then was the right way. I think people should find themselves before they get married. But I can see why men would want that it’s easier to groom people that have never experienced life.

Nobody is saying marry some old lady but you would really be cool with your daughter graduating high school then getting married to somebody in their 30s? You think that wouldn’t do anything to her growth as a person? Even my sexist ass dad told me to live on my own, go to school, start my career then get married and I got married at 23.

All grooming is sick. If she was her own person & was figuring herself out she wasn’t groomed. Someone that’s grooming you doesn’t allow you any room to grow, like those men that don’t want their wives to go to college, to have a career, to have money outside of them. Etc Jay z just stood back and let Beyoncé be herself. That’s not grooming. I think the only reason people are even using the word grooming for them is because of the age gap but 12 years isn’t even a lot imo.

Groom is just a weird word in general for this. But Beyonce was more of an asset to Jay than him to her. I say that as Jay being my favorite rapper.

Their relationship helped clean his brand up and walk into more mainstream doors. Right around 02 is when he got a lot more broad-ranging mainstream appeal. He went from Big Pimpin to Bonnie and Clyde, Change Clothes, Show Me What You Got...which all were trash, but gave him that new shift in his image to grow his money.
