breh im not confused about anything. but its a big country and city, just cause he happened to be there and had communications there doesnt mean he got assistance. of course its possible but unless theres hard evidence (which might be in his book) thats still a leap.
i studied and worked in journalism, and the fact that he had connections in that city isnt enough evidence to do any more than speculate on it. again if theres new evidence on the nature of his connections there, that changes the situation.
im also skeptical because if there was al-qaeda involvement i would expect they would want to claim it in some way or would have done so in the past, as the credibility of their organization was based on their ability to plan and carry out major attacks and oklahoma city was the biggest one of the 90s. it would be in their interests to claim it or to claim assisting it.

Instances of such?
How Carlos the Jackal was funded by the Soviets?

ive read the looming tower. it has nothing to do with what i just said about the need for hard evidence to establish this connection. if they have that evidence i want to see it because im very interested in a connection between the most significant terrorist group of all time and the worst bombing on american soil in the 90s.

yeah the cias reluctance to share their information with the fbi was critical. ali soufan heavily criticized the cia for it and argued it couldve been prevented with more cooperation. i was more speaking about in the post-9/11 environment
anyway i hope we get to see what was in those calls someday. if this is the case that would be a monumental story.
