Uncertain grounds
I find it alarming that he had 40+ target yet only caught 20+ balls (and its not like he's Mr. Butterfingers). Still, I'll withhold complete judgment until he plays a complete season and either has someone more savvy throwing to em then Derek Carr:trash:bage as @2Quik4UHoes would say or until they fix their Oline problems to where he's given enough time for someone with speed like his routes to develop.

But @Russ doesn't have the best Oline either and they make it happen with Metcalf so there's that also. He be folding under press pressure from the few times I have seen em. Not about to sit here and act like I've watched every game of his though.

But yeah, for someone selected as high as both him and Lamb, Ima need to see SOMETHING.

Even my guy AJ had breakout games with Mariota here and there until Tan Marino came to town and elevated him even further :sas2:

guy needs work on the jugs machine and a qb that can hit him deep. he will be fine

I wouldn't have taken him over Jeudy or Lamb then or now, but Ruggs has legit tools and he flashed enough that I'd still feel good about him moving forward.
Yeah I think Ruggs gone be a beast. He just matched up poorly with Carr being so risk averse.

He’s fast and has pretty good hands. If he was on the chiefs he’d beast but instead he’s on a team with a QB that only throws long passes to agholor and a head coach who only calls streaks and sweeps for him.

I think if he spends a whole offseason with Carr and builds some trust with him like agholor did he’ll see way more targets.
