They cut Sherman who got signed right away. They traded Bennett and Earl Thomas might be on his way out too. And Kam Chancellor's future with the team is in doubt
I don't know why they're rushing to rebuild. They barely missed the playoffs at 9-7. Blair Walsh was directly responsible for 3 of their losses. Against Washington, he missed 3 field goals in a 3 point loss. Against Atlanta, that stupid fake field goal call at the end of the first half and walshs miss on the last play of the game cost them in another 3 point loss. And against Arizona, walsh missed the game winning field goal in a 2 point loss. They very easily could have been 11-5 or 12-4 if they hadn't stupidly signed the kicker who choked against them in the playoffs a couple years before
Let's not forget, they had some very impressive wins in there. They beat the Texans in that shootout with Watson. They were one of 2 teams to beat the Eagles all season (and no, the Cowboys win over Philly doesn't count since they were resting their starters and it was fukking 6-0). They played very competitively in all of their losses (with the exception of the blowout by the Rams, which was more of the Rams coming of age than it was the Seahawks falling off)
I think they should have given it 1 more season and tried to get Wilson some oline and running back help. He had a fantastic season while running for his life and having Doug Baldwin and Paul Richardson as his main targets (and they're not scrubs, but they're definitely not stars). The defense still had its moments where it was dominant. While the Rams proved theyre the team to beat in the division going forward, I'm obviously not sold on San Francisco yet. And Arizona is in a rebuilding phase and had a point differential of -66, even at 8-8. I think they should have given it another go
