Fredo Bang beat a murder charge
NBA youngboy beat a attempt murder charge
Ar-Ab & Cassidy beat a murder charge only for Ar 2 get indicted by the feds 15 years later
Gucci mane beat a murder charge
Tax stone & troy ave being involved in club shooting that led to banga death
Rondonumbanine serving 39 year sentence
Cdai serving 38 year sentence
D.Rose serving 45 year sentence
yae yae Jordan serving 60 year sentence
YNW melly facing death penalty for double homicide
Nipsey Hussle was murdered
Chinx Drugs was murdered
Young pappy was murdered
Lil snupe was murdered
Dex Osama was murdered
BLVD quick was murdered
General reezy was murdered lesser known Philly rapper
Bank roll fresh was murdered
Young dolph had 3 attempts on his life
And there's 100 other Rappers with legitimate criminal records that did jail time with actual street credibility

Rappers & record labels used to be financed by actual gangsters like HarryO financing suge knight & death row
Zip financing badboy & being extorted by Jimmy henchman
Supreme Financing irv gotti & murder inc
Big Meech cosigning Jeezy solidifying his gangster
Jaz prince financing Rap -a-lot records etc.... now it seems like legitimate street nikkaz are getting in front of the camera instead of being behind the scenes financing local talented rappers, singers & producers when my question is when did it shift?

You forgot the Jefe El Dorado Red who beat his case...

But honestly street dudes have always been in the industry...From Ice-T and Eazy-E to Kool Moe D and Rakim shyt the furious 5 probally was kicking dudes assess. Slick rick wutang shyt bump J, Eightball and MJG, UGK its always been street dudes on the microphone...We just forget that as people get older they mature and some leave that shyt behind them.

If Boosie keeps his nose clean kind of how Birdman and Master P has 10-15 years from now the younger generation won't even realize how he got down.

The bar to being a "rapper" is so low now that alot of ok talent people can get on and get signed or whatever. With this comes alot of nikkas that have actually been in the streets.

That being said its still alot of fake shyt. Maybe even more than before.
